Wow, we have made it to Crater Lake, and Redwood.  The views are breath taking.  Crater lake was just amazing to learn how a volcano over years made such a beautiful lake.  The kids loved it.  We took a boat tour.  Then Big John did what he set his mind to do on this trip.... Jumped into Crater Lake.  The water temp was about 40 degrees.  The kids went in too... Not for me and Matthew, we stayed behind and videod the whole thing.
We are actually a day ahead of schedule.  We went through Redwoods National Park and saw the huge trees.  the kids had a blast climbing the trees.  So now we are on our way to Yosimite NP...
I think Matthew had a touch of car sickness.  We were driving through the mountains (yet again, I never new we could drive up and over sooooo many mountains in the west)  Matthew was getting tired so I put him in his car seat and right when I did that,,, blaaaaa, he started to throw up.  Try giving a 18mo a shower in the rv while driving down the steep mountains.
We are now about 6 hours from Yosimite.  We pulled into a RV park site for tonight.  Thank God... full hook ups... we went from freezing at night 40degree weather to 85degrees right now. So AC on, internet access, cable, I almost feel like I am in a tiny house. I will try to post some pics. of previous things I downloaded.

  1. Beautiful pics! We were just in Yellowstone last August and saw the same sights. We may try to do Grand Teton this year. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
