Grand Junction, Colorado

Here we are at another hotel, Quality inn. we r trying to stsy at hotels with the free breakfast. The ride here was interesting. a drink spilled all over the back seat and kait had no where to sit. the kids kept fighting b/c the were touching each other. then they were bored. We did stop at a home depot to get a tarp to cover our stuff. as we were trying to cover it started to drizzle. I felt like I was racing against time. the lightening was bad and i did not want to be out there in it.
We are past the spot where we originally broke down. Tommorow, after our free hot breakfast, we will drive as much as we can to get close to Kansas City, where the water park is located. til next time, good nite. I am going to enjoy sleeping in a king size bed tonight without any kids. the kids are sleeping two each in the two queens.

And it just had to RAIN

Well, it is raining on all our things. We wanted to make it to a walmart to buy a tarp but we didnt make it before the rain came. So, I ask once again, can it get any worst?

back on the road

We are now in a bright red chevy silverado...3 in the front and 3 in the back and our clothes in the bed of the truck. this will be interesting to see how many stops we will need to make for bathroom stops. looks like we r going to be spending more money on food. I had to throw the frozen burgers away and the meal i made and all the cold stuff. now we hit fast food places. we will have to figure something out.

took what we could

So, we had to leave the RV at the ford place. We took our clothes and some of the kids toys. we r headed back west for another 1hour and 45 min. so we have back tracked about 3 and a half hours. we r going to rent a car from enterprise in cedar city,utah. I think the only thing available is a pickup truck that will fit the 6 of us. what an adventure.

Can it be fixed!!!!

We are still waiting to see whats wrong with the RV... the ford place thinks its the fuel pump but don't know when they can get it fixed... We have to leave out of here, John's deployment flight is set for the 27th.... So much for getting back early to relax at home.  If we rent a car, we still have to travel another hour and half back west to get to a rental car.  that make a total of 3 hours that we wasted traveling east.  3 hours of the same route.  I hope they can fix it and get us on the road by this evening.

Sittin' in Travelodge

Well, we made it to the hotel.  We are in a travelodge in Richfield, Utah.  We will see tomorrow what is wrong with the RV.  The kids are happy.  We went swimming.  The hotel has a pool.  And they have been wanting to go out to eat because they were so tired of eating in the RV, so we went to the local resturant.  It was good.  They were able to get baths and now sleep in a normal bed.  Hopefully we will make it to Kansas City to the waterpark.  We shall see.......

tow truck is here. can this be safe? we all can not fit in the tow so john made the kids draw straws, kait won so her ans john r riding up front. now shannon is mad and started to fight with little john and i have to control them in a swaying, towed, rv. thank god matthew is falling asleep. i am just glad and than god that this happened where we had phone service. so tonight will be a hotel night.
